If life was a childrens picture book

At one of my favorite museums in the world, the Norton Simon in Pasadena, they had a morning a few days ago that reminds me of what life would be like if everything was like a child's picture book.

Mama goose wants to take the little ones to the museum!
They decide against the audio tour...

check out some art...

And then head for the real purpose of their visit, the little pond in the garden at the back of the museum.

The super classy museum going geese reminded me of this print by Berkley Illustration.

Happy Friday Friends!

woman on a mission

Where have I been? I had no idea Grace Jones was a Bond girl.
Adding A View to Kill to the queue.

Also obsessing over Amanda Lear...

a detail, a dream

Tim Walker for Vogue Italia

The McQueen collection he was working on until his death. Breathtaking.

Tavi at Style Rookie posted this close-up picture of Carey Mulligan's dress from the Oscars and to my surprise and delight it is covered in little scissors and utensils!

"oh death, where is thy sting"

A few weeks ago we took a drive up to the bay area to hang out with friends, and one of the highlights of the trip was a walk through the historic Mountain View Cemetery. It was designed by Fredrick Olmsted who also designed Central Park, and it's full of deliciously spooky crypts, cannon ball paving stones, and during breaks in the clouds a wonderful view of pretty much everything.

Later we met up for a beer at Magnolia Pub and Brewery in the Haight which I totally recommend.

cheers,

the texture of trees

Can't get over these wonderful images from BibliOdyssy. They would work so well as textiles!
